Abstract

Interference from other cells can be treated efficiently by base-station cooperation. A kind of interference suppression using base-station cooperation is introduced. A central base-station is chosen from all the cooperative base-stations. User signals higher than SNR threshold are demodulated using interference cancellation by each station, and residual signals are sent to the central base-station. Local residual signals are combined with those from other cooperative base-stations by the central base-station,and interference cancellation is used again. Strong signals and weak signals are efficiently distinguished by the first interference cancellation, and diversity can be induced by the combination at the central base-station,then interference cancellation is used again in order to efficiently detect weak signals,so the aim of interference suppression can be achieved at last.
