Abstract
Objective:To study the prevalence of overweight and obesity of students.Methods:A total of 1728 students were selected by cluster-stratified sampling and measured their height and weight.To screening overweight and obesity by using the Body mass index(BMI) reference for screening overweight and obesity in Chinese children and adolescents.Results:The prevalence rates of over weight and obesity were 6.1% and 2.6% respectively.There was significant difference in the total prevalence rate of overweight and obesity between hui and han.The prevalence rate of overweight and obesity between urban students and rural students showed significant differences.The obesity rate between boys and girls showed significant differences.Conclusion:Nutrition education should be strengthened in students.
