On Purpose-"来" (lai) in Modern Chinese

Abstract
In modern Chinese,来(lai) has the meaning of purpose,but only used as coordinators conjoining clauses can it exactly represents purpose.While appearing between preposition-structures or verbphrases,converbial sentences or Jianyu sentences,来 (lai) does not have such meanings.It can be treated verb with patient object.The uses of purpose-来(lai) are not exactly identified with purpose-以(yi),but sometimes they can replace mutually,and sometimes cannot.
