The Connotation, Technological System and Developing Trends of Green Manufacturing

Abstract

Green Manufacturing (GM) is a new manufacturing strategy whose goal is to minimize environmental impact and resource consumption during pro-duct's life cycle. The investigations on GM have been done a lot in recent years.Based on the investigations, the extended connotation of GM is discussed, and the system framework of the technology on green manufacturing is brought forward. The developing trends on green manufacturing are analyzed from six aspects: global green manufacturing, social supporting system, green integrated manufacturing, green concurrent engineering, role of intelligent manufacturing on green manufacturing and green new industries.
