Abstract

A computed of magnetostriction for the giant magnetostrictive materials rod compressived was described according to the relation between the magnetostriction and magnetization and by using the finite element method. The magnetostriction of the magnetostrictive rod compressived was computed and the calculation results are in agreement with those of experiment.
