Review of studies on forest towrism resource evaluation

The new advance and trend in the studies on forest towrism resource evaluation are briefly introduced, including some important concepts, methodology and study contents. According to the theoretical bases, expressions and purposes, forest towrism resource evatuation in broad sense can be divided roughly into two sorts as economic evaluation and quality evaluation, among which, the economic evaluation is focused on the economic property of forest towrism resources as compased with the quality evaluation that comprehensively reflects the natural, social and cultural properties of forest towrism resources. An over-all and systematic forest towrism resource invertory, including the background and amenity resource, is regarded as the essential basis of the evaluation. The critical link of the evaluation lie on working out one set of evaluating standards and establishing a integrated evaluation indicator system, generally involving two aspects of evaluation conmtents as the amenity resources and development conditions.
