Abstract
S-shape river-bends of Yanchuan on Yellow River are great groups of S-shape river-bends. They are formed in Jinshaan Gorge. They remain geological relics of the formation and development of river-bends systematically. They are valuable for research on changes of middle river of Yellow Riv- er and environment changes of Loess Plateau. These geological relics can help us understand the rela- tionship between development of Yellow River and crystal movement better. Researches on river- bends can improve theoretical level of river-bends formation; also make us know the relationship be- tween old hydrographic net and soil erosion. These relics are important for geological tourism, scien- tific investigation and popular science.
