The Update Technology Research of the Passive Optical Network

Abstract

The current widely used TDM-PON technology uses different time slots to distinguish users,but the available bandwidth is restricted.In order to satisfy in the future the users to the high bandwidth demand,needs to study the smooth upgrade path of the passive optical network.This paper analyzes the rate upgrade,wavelength upgrade and space division upgrade of the PON technology,and highlights the WDM-PON system of the wavelength upgrade.In the end of the paper,two schemes of OCDMA-PON and OFDMA-PON are proposed.
