Microsurgery treatment of the third ventricle tumor

Objective To investigate the effect the microsurgery for the third ventricle tumor.Methods Targeted therapeutic measures taken to our hospital,30 cases of patients with third ventricle tumors,in which the microsurgical open heart surgery 25 patients,microsurgical direct vision surgery and neuroendoscopy assisted surgery in 3 cases of patients,2 cases of patients with endoscopic resection.Results After operation,13 cases of patients with total removal of the tumor in the surgical microscope,12 patients with subtotal resection,5 cases of patients with partial tumor resection.20 cases of patients with good recovery,7 patients improved,1 cases of patients in persistent vegetative,2 patients died.Conclusions Microsurgery is the preferred method of treatment for third ventricle tumors,to pay attention to protect the surrounding tissue of the third ventricle structure in order to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
