Abstract

The family Polygonaceae in China consists of about 235 species and 37 varieties in 13 genera.The research in analy- sis of chemical ingredients of Polygonaceae showed that Rumex,Rheum,Fallopia and Reynoutria contained some main compounds,such as anthraquinone derivatives,flavonoids and so on.Fagopyrum and Polygonum were rich in flavonoids but no anthraquinone derivatives. It was considered that Fagopyrum and Polygonum might be relational closely.
