Study on Protection and Sustainable Development of the World Heritage in China

Abstract
The world heritage is of outstanding universal value and represents the combined possessions and resources of humankind.China is a country with rich cultural and natural heritage resources and becomes a destination of international tourism,thereby promoting rapid development of tourism industry.At present,35 properties of China have been inscribed by the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO on the World Heritage List,including 25 cultural,6 natural and 4 mixed properties.This paper summarizes the present situation of the world heritage and introduce world heritage of China.In addition,it discusses some issues on the protection and sustainable development of the world heritage of China,points out some problems and puts forward relevant strategies so as to promote the development of heritage tourism.
