Improvement of China's Code of Professional Ethics for Translators and Interpreters

The paper analyzes the trend of China's professionalization and industrialization of translation/interpreting,by which the establishment and improvement of China's code of professional ethics for translators/interpreters are required.Relevant Chinese departments or organizations have developed and released some translation/interpreting related national or industry standards including Code of Ethics for Translators/Interpreters' Services.Based on her five suggestions about accreditation testing,curriculum development,teaching and learning material development,the author suggests that China should learn from valuable international and domestic experience and further improve its code of professional ethics for translators/interpreters.
