Abstract
Criticism on the traditional metaphysical ontology is an important part of contemporary philosophic study, and criticism on modern speculative metaphysics since Descartes started originally by Hume. Modern western philosophy has gone through the transition from the criticism of metaphysics to the question on and negation of the value of philosophical existence. Marx sublated and finally transcended traditional metaphysics. He accurately clarified the hidden duality of metaphysical ontology and separated from philosophical ontology the metaphysics characterized by pure speculation. His dialectic negation of the latter based on practice has demonstrated the great practical power of changing the world in Marxist philosophy.
