Abstract
Objective To find the rule of accumulation of magnolol and honokiol in the leaf of Magnolia officinalis produced in Hubei Enshi. Methods Determining the content of magnolol and honokiol by HPLC with methanol-water(78∶22) and the detective wavelength was 294 nm.Results The content of magnolol and honokiol in the leaf of Magnolia officinalis produced in Hubei Enshi is over 0.1%.The content of magnolol is lower than that of honokiol. The content of the compounds in the green leaf is higher than that of the yellow leaf. Conclusions The content of magnolol and honokiol in the leaf of Magnolia officinalis produced in Hubei Enshi is relatively abundant.
