Abstract
Obiective To study the pathology change of rats with pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin and effects of PNS on rats and associated mechanisms. Methods Rats models of pulmonary fibrosis were reproduced by injecting bleomycin through trachea. Then each group of the rats was given corresponding drugs orally. On the 7th,14th,28th day after drugs administration, the rats in each group were killed and the lungs were harvested for histopathological studies and immunohisto-chemical determination of TGF-β1.Furthmore,the level of HYP in lung tissue was determined. Results PNS inhibits the collagen deposition was inhibited by PNS and abnormal increase of TGF-β1 in lung tissue of pulmonary fibrosis model. In addition,PNS could reduce pulmonary pathological damage. Conclusion PNS is effective in modulating the process of pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin.
