Abstract
Ontology is used more and more for the integration of heterogeneous information sources. In general, there are three different directions for ontology integration: single ontology approach, multi ontology approach and hybrid ontology approach. In the paper,an integration framework based on hybrid ontology approach is proposed. The approach supports two types of queries: queries posed on global ontology and those posed on local data sources. How the two types of queries are implemented is discussed in details. In addition, the implementation of the framework in distributed museums proves efficient.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
