Abstract
Silica gel column chromatography was used to purify the fructooligosaccharide produced from inulin by a newly screened strain and the content of fructooligosaccharide was determined by HPLC. Fermentation conditions of the strain were optimized to increase the yield of fructooligosaccharide, including concentration of inulin, type and concentration of nitrogen source and inorganic salt. The optimal culture medium was determined as follows:inulin 35g/L,yeast powder0.5g/L,K2HPO40.8g/L,NaCl 0.5g/L,KNO30.5g/L,and the yield of fructooligosaccharide was increased by 60.88%.
