Abstract

The tributary system between the Ming dynasty and Mongolia is an important part of the whole tributary system in the Ming Period.It is a significant tool for dealing with the relationship between the Ming Court and Mongolia,and it is a testimony of their close intercourse.In the period of Ming,the tributary system continued working.There were more peaceful intercourses than wars in this period.The Tumu War is an accident at the top of the development of the tributary system;however,it has no relationship with national contradiction.
