Abstract

The effects of different preharvest bagging treatments( single-layer white paper bag,and single-layer yellow paper bag) on the storage properties of postharvest fruits of fresh-eating and yellow-flesh peach cultivarJinlinghuangluat low temperature were studied through taking the unbagged fruits as control. The results showed that: in the preharvest bagging treatment with single-layer yellow paper bag,the red saturation scale( a*),a*/ b*( b*is yellow saturation scale),chlorophyll content and anthocyanin content of peel were always at the lowest level in both harvest period and storage period, while the chroma( C*),hue angle( h) and brightness value( L*) of peel were opposite; during storage, the single-layer white paper bag treatment obtained the highest fruit hardness, followed by the single-layer yellow paper bag treatment; the hardness of bagged fruits was relatively stable at earlier or middle storage stage, and it decreased at later storage stage, however that of unbagged fruits decreased obviously during storage; both soluble solid content and total sugar content in unbagged peach fruits decreased quickly at earlier storage stage, and then increased again; while those in bagged peach fruits were relatively constant during storage. The above results indicated that preharvest bagging could maintain the better appearance quality, hardness and inner quality of Jinlinghuanglu peach fruits, and improve their storability.
