Abstract
Using empirical orthogonal function(EOF),rotated empirical orthogonal function(REOF) and wavelet analysis method,the standardized autumn rainfall field in Shanxi during 1960-2004 was divided.And the spatial distribution characteristics and the time change laws of autumn rainfall anomaly were analyzed.The results showed that the main spatial anomaly of autumn rainfall in Shanxi were rainy type and rainless type in the whole province,which was the main characteristics of autumn rainfall anomaly in Shanxi.The abnormal regions of autumn rainfall could be divided into 3 regions,including north region,middle region and south region.The autumn rainfall in each abnormal region has a long periodic oscillation(more than 10 years) and a short periodic oscillation(3-9 years),but their significant period and yearly change difference were greater.
