Abstract
The technology means of rapid change of second generation fixed diameter nozzle developed by Laigang Steelmaking Plant and protecting casting and popularized and applied conditions in No.3 and No.4 continuous casting machine of Laigang are introduced. The protecting casting technology of this rapid changing nozzle overcomes the deffciency of stopper control technology,so that the yield of liquid steel is increased from 95.72%to 99.60%. It has the advantages of improving the yield of liquid steel, reducing the consumption of refractory, increasing the quality of continuous casting slab and stabilizing the production organization, etc.
