Abstract
The effects of biopolymers on rheological properties, fluidity and air content of air entraining cement mortar were studied by means of mortar torque speed tester. Results showthat air entraining cement mortar with biopolymers can be regarded as Bingham model. Within a certain range of biopolymers content, plastic viscosity of A mortar rised first and then decreased, while plastic viscosity of B,C,D mortar almost did not change. The yield stress of four kinds of mortar increased with the improvement of biopolymers dosage. There is a high inverse correlation between biopolymers dosage and fluidity of air entraining cement mortar. Air content was determined by air entraining properties, keep bubble properties and viscosity of mortar. The air content of A and D mortar increased first and then decreased, while air content of B and C mortar decreased with the improvement of biopolymers dosage.
