Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to provide the basis for the study of the development of plant growth under high concentration of CO2. [Method] The chloroplast ultrastructure was observed and chlorophyll content was detected in Arabidopsis under the high and normal concentration of CO2. [Result] The numbers and the volume of chloroplast were increased, the numbers of starch grains and plastoglobulus were increased, grana lamella and thylakoid were swelled, and chlorophyll content and relative water content were all higher than the normal group under high concentration of CO2. But with time increasing, all promoting effects were weaken, even a stress situation occured. [Conclusion]High concentration of CO2had the promotion effect on the photosynthesis and plant growth in the short term, but the effect decreased, even showed the inhibitory effect.
