Abstract

There are many factors affecting grain yield of maize. The relationship between effective factors(growth period, plant height, ear height, ear diameter, ear length, rare ear length, row number of per ear, kernel number of per row,100 kernels weight, grain production rate) and grain yield of maize were studied with multiple regression and path analysis by using Statistica AX5.5 software. The results indicated that the yield was significantly correlated with plant height, ear diameter, ear length, rare ear length,100 kernels weight or grain production rate. The relative importance of the six factors correlated with grain yield of maize was in order of ear diameter100 kernels weightplant height rare ear length ear length grain production rate.
