Abstract
Objective To evaluate clinical characteristics of traumatic internal carotid cavernous fistulas and embolization treatment technique for traumatic internal carotid cavernous fistulas(TCCF).Methods Magic-BD TE balloon catheters and labeled latex balloon were used for the embolization treatment of 10 cases of TCCF under DSA monitoring. Results Of 9 cases embolized successfully, there were 7 cases of embolization for once and 2 cases for twice and there was one death case because of bleeding. Conclusion Embolization therapy is an optimal choice for TCCF because of its micro-invasiveness and therapeutic effect.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
