Abstract

Owing to frequent wars and substitution of regimes during the five-dynasty period,the calligraphy art is deteriorating rapidly.Yang Ning Style Calligraphy undoubtedly added a page of honor in the history of calligraphy in the Tang and Song dynasties.He appeared unrestrained all his life,but was not controlled by vulgarities.He pursued naivety and magnificence,inheriting the glamour of the calligraphy in Jin and Tang dynasties,and developing the notion-centered style of calligraphy for the Song Dynasty,which occupied an important historical position in the history of Chinese calligraphy.
