Rejuvenate Old Industrial Bases in the Northeast: Striving for the Development of Regional Economy

The successful experience of the economy development of Zhujiang and Changjiang River Triangle Districts and Jing-jin Economic Zone around the Bohai Sea, shows us that it is an important way to enhance regional cooperation for co-development and to avoid regionally isolated progress in the development of the northeast industrial base. Through the regional cooperation with proper methods, the industrial structure, some succession national enterprises and private economy in the northeast will be reformed or developed effectually. However, in practice, the three provinces in the northeast should select a proper cooperating model for self-development, further enhance cooperation and communication, break local blockade and market segmentation, build relative governmental institutions in the service of area economic development, and proceed scientifically with regional plan and management.
