Distribution and ecological evaluation of heavy metals in multi-medium of Luoyuan Bay

The concentration and distribution of heavy metals Cu,Pb,As,Hg,Zn,Cd in seawater,surface sediments and several marine organisms of Luoyuan Bay were studied in Sep.of 2005.The ecosystem was evaluated by the single factor index method.The results show that the heavy metals pollution levels in seawater in Luoyuan Bay are not beyond the national benchmark of the second-class of seawater quality,and are much lower than the fishery water quality standard.Compared with the investigation data of 1986,the heavy metals were accumulated in the past several years.The pollution levels of the heavy metals in surface sediments were not beyond the national benchmark of the first-class of marine sediment quality basically.The oyster has already been seriously polluted by Cd.The heavy metals concentrations of the rest marine organisms are not beyond the standard of non-environmental pollution aquatic products.
