Diagnosis Value of MRI to Cerebellopontine Angle Tumor: Analysis of 20 Cases

Abstract

Objective: To improve the preoperative diagnosis accuracy of cerebellopontine angle tumors through analyzing MRI findings.Methods: Collecting 120 cases of cerebellopontine angle tumors which confirmed by pathology and surgery,all cases underwent MRI scan plus enhanced MRI.Results: In 120 cases,acoustic neuroma in 45 cases,meningioma in 37 cases,6 cases of trigeminal neuroma,epidermoid cyst in 8 cases,arachnoid cyst in 7 cases,glioma in 6 cases,6 cases of angioreticuloma,cavernous angioma in 5 cases.Tumors located in the left cerebellopontine angle accounted for 64 cases,located on the right cerebellopontine angle accounted for 59 cases.Preoperative localization accuracy was 100%,qualification accuracy rate was 97.5%.Conclusion: MRI has a high value in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of cerebellopontine angle tumors,which can be used as a preferred preoperative examination method in cerebellopontine angle tumors.
