Abstract
The characteristics of soil nutrients and the relationship between soil nutrients and particles in hills of Xuancheng were analyzed. The results showed that:(1) In different land use types, the content of soil organic matter and total nitrogen in woodland were significantly higher than that of the other three land use types. The contents of total phosphorus and available nutrient in arable land and new arable land were higher than that in woodland and scrub. The correlation between organic matter, available nitrogen and available phosphorus and land use types was significant.(2) The contents of organic matter and total nitrogen in middle slope and up slope were significantly higher than that in downhill slope, and the total phosphorus and available nutrient showed a significant upward trend as the slope position decreased. There were obvious correlations between organic matter, total phosphorus and available phosphorus and the slope position.(3) There was an obviously positive correlation between organic matter and clay(0.002 mm) and powder(0.002~0.02 mm),and an significantly negative correlation between organic matter and sand(0.02~2 mm).Meanwhile, the correlation between total nitrogen and silt were significantly positive, the same to the correlation between total phosphorus and the contents of silt and clay.
