Abstract
A Kaoline combined superabsorbent resin was synthesized from inverse suspension polymerization, using 2-acrylamide-2-methyl propyl sulfonic acid(AMPS) and acrylic acid(AA) as copolymers,N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide(NMBA) as cross linking agent and potassium persulfate as initiators. The optimum conditions are as follows : molar ratio of AMPS to AA is 2.2,mass ratios of Kaoline, initiator and crossling agnet are 5%~10%,0.16%~0.18% and 0.06% to AMPS and AA,the neutralization degree of AA is 90%.The results show that absorbency of the resin is about 581g/g and 91g/g in distilled water and 0.9%(wt) NaCl solution.
