Abstract
Gene therapy is a new therapeutic tool for the treatment of diverse types of diseases, including cancer, congenital genetic, infectious, cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases.Cancer gene therapy is the main studied application of gene therapy. In the last few years, significant advances have been made in the clinical trials about gene therapy worldwide. But some problems still need to be solved. In the future, the main objective in gene therapy is the development of safe and high efficient gene delivery systems that can deliver foreign genetic materials into specific cell types. The main studying advances in the area of gene therapy achieved recent years were reviewed, and the problems in this field that people have to face in the future were put forwards.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
