Abstract

The structural environment, deep structures, faults and seismicity have special strong earthquake background in east Kunlun fault before the earthquake with M s8.1 on Nov.14,2001. The characteristics of the seismicity are short-period, low frequence and large magnitude. The features of strong earthquake preparation can be regarded as prediction index in east Kunlun fault.
