Abstract

The views of Holmes Rolston on the natural value category consist of three aspects, they are: from anthropocentrism to natural centrism and to terminal confirmation.Natural value category has double connotations: value and fact; natural value theory possesses dual features of both ethics and natural science; it has acknowledged the value ontologization, its philosophical ontology is modern dualism. The foundation of the ethical reationship between human being and nature is not an objective fact, but the value status of human being and nature established by human being in social practice.
