Abstract
Multidimensional scaling technology is a set of technology to analyze the restructuring of the objects' configuration according to the distances between the similarity data items. The MDS reconstructs the objects' coordinates in the multi-dimensional space by constructing objects on the dissimilarity matrix. In this paper a general overview of multidimensional scaling is given. It briefly discussed the concept and classification of the multidimensional scaling, explained the classic multidimensional scaling and the metric multidimensional scaling.Furthermore, this paper emphatically analyzed several types of MDS algorithm, and the experiment data were compared and analyzed as well.
