Abstract
Based on the discussion about color reagent dosage of spectrophotometry in many analytical textbooks and inorganic and analytical chemistry textbooks, Fe3+-SCN- system was studied. The experimental results showed that when Fe3+ concentration and other conditions were fixed and SCN- color reagent concentration was lower, [Fe(SCN)6]3- absorbance increased with the SCN- concentration increased. With the SCN- concentration amplified, [Fe(SCN)6]3- absorbance decreased after longish time when SCN- color reagent concentration was higher.
