Abstract

The extraction and stripping of iron by P204 from acidic wastewater in copper hydrometallurgy has been researched in this paper. The effect of mixing time, concentration of P204 and the phase ratio on the extraction of Fe3+ were examined.Change of sulfuric acid in raffinate solution are also measured. For the feed solution used in this research, the extraction recovery of Fe3+ reached 85.96% when it was extracted by 50% P204-kerosene system at O/A ratio equal to 9.When stripped by 6NHCl at O/A ratio equal to 1/ 9,the stripping ratio of Fe3+ reached 77.44%.
