Abstract
The microstructure of high chromium cast iron under different quenching temperature and cooling methods were analyzed by metallographic microscope and Rockwell hardness test. The effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and wear property of the iron were studied. The results show that the hardness increases first and then decreases with the increase of quenching temperature and then it reaches its maximum 63.1HRC after oil quenching at 960 ℃× 4 h.Meanwhile, the best wear properties are obtained at 960 ℃for 4 h and tempering at 250 ℃for 2 h and its wear mass loss is only 1/26 of that of Q235.
