Abstract

The study on interaction of elastoplastic structure and underwater explosion bubble is an important topic. The dynamics of bubble, located under a horizontal elastic-plastic plane, was studied by MSC. Dytran program, and fluid-structure interaction was analyzed also. The dimensionless parameter n is introduced, which equals to the stand-off distance/the maximum bubble radius. The parameters of bubble, such as radius and period, with different variable n , are compared with those without boundary condition, and it is found out that an oscillating bubble located under elastic-plastic plane can be considered a perfect sphere when variable n ≥ 2. It is obtained that a cavitation zone like a taper appears between plane and bubble, followed by a powerful jet impacting on elastic-plastic plane, which is observed by underwater explosion experiment.
