The Studies of Monarchy in Medieval England since the Mid-20th Century in the West

For a long time,Chinese and foreign scholars have different views on the characteristics and status of the monarchy in Medieval England.They have not reached a broad consensus yet.Since the mid-20th century,Western scholars have done important researches on the study of the monarchy in Medieval England.However,a mature theoretical system has not been established.Some scholars believe that the monarchy is restricted,and there is no public right of monarchy;and others have also stressed the king's public and political authority.The focus of the debate is that monarchy is limited or authoritarian.Research in these areas will help us better understand the nature of the Middle Ages and status of the British monarchy.
