Abstract

The nonlinear behavior of rolling bearing is studied. The Lyapunov exponent is estimated from an experimental time series based on its different state. The experimental results show that the Lyapunov exponent is different for the different state and can be used as characteristics for recognizing the rolling bearing′s fault. The rule for fault diagnosis of rolling bearing is extracted by using Lyapunov exponent.
