An evaluation for the effect of planting family farms on farmers' averge net income in Songjiang, Shanghai

Based on the rapid development of family farms throughout China, this paper analyzes the effect of planting family farms on farmers' average net income by PSM and DID. The result shows that farmers with larger family size and those whose family laborforces have more years of education tend to choose family farms. Average wages income and average farmland lending income are negatively affected while effects are positive on average planting income and average transfer income, and average net income ascends significantly. From the perspective of policy, family farms should be popularized and disseminated in regions to promote the rapid development of farming.
