Observation on Scalp Acupuncture and Body Acupuncture in Treating Facial Paralysis

Abstract

Objective: To observe therapeutic effects of scalp and body acupuncture in treating facial paralysis.Method: All 300 patients were randomly divided into 100 cases in body acupuncture group and 200 cases in group of scalp and body acupuncture,once each day,both groups received treatment for 30 consecutive days.Curative effects,paralysis index and degree were observed before and after treating.Result: Group of scalp and body acupuncture was superior to body acupuncture group in improvement of paralysis index and degree(P0.05).Conclusion: Traditional acupuncture combined with scalp acupuncture can obtain better curative effects than only body acupuncture in treating facial paralysis.
