Abstract
Rice sheath blight,caused by pathogenic fungus Rhizoctonia solani,is one of the most prevalent rice diseases.Genetic studies on rice resistance tosheath blight were slow in that ideal resistant resources and effective method to identify resistance to rice sheath blight were short.The identifying methods and the ideal resources gained were reviewed.
