Application of Mixing with Single Screw Extruder

Abstract

Single screw extruder was analyzed in dispersion and distribution mixing capacities, and determined in the types suitable for dispersion or distribution mixing.Maddock、Pineapple and Twente as well as CTM mixers were evaluated for their performances. Single screw extruder equipped with mixing elements could produce good distribution mixing effects, but remainded to be much improved in its dispersion mixing abilities except for color masterbatches and polyolefin.
