Abstract

A stable fluoroacrylate copolymer emulsion with core-shell structure was prepared by semi-continuous emulsion polymerization. The raw material monomers were BA,MMA and DFHM.V-20S was provided as reactive surfactant.Influence of the synthesis conditions on the copolymer emulsion and surface properties of copolymer membrane were researched. Then the optimum conditions were obtained as follows: the mass ratio of BA to MMA was 2,the quality of the initiators(APS) and the emulsifier(V-20S) were 0.5wt% and 2.0wt% of the total monomers, respectively. The core-shell structure of the copolymer emulsion was confirmed through transmission electron microscopy(TEM) test. When the quality of DFHM was 20wt% of the total monomers, the surface fluorine content reached 11.37%,and the surface contact angle reached 91°.
