On the Processes of Industrialization and Urbanization and Residents' Income Distribution in China

This paper states that residents' income in China,including rural and urban residents,has not fully enjoyed the dividends of economic growth.During most of the tenth and eleventh five-year period,the growth rate of residents' income lagged behind the economic growth rate which was significantly lower than the growth rate of national tax collections;the problem of uneven income distribution was extremely serious and the excessively large income gap had been an outstanding social problem.It considers that,under urbanization-lagged conditions,investment-and-export-oriented heavy industrialization enlarges the income distribution disparity and the income gap between rural and urban residents.Therefore,the focus of shortening the excessively large income gap is to raise labor prices.
