Determination of 16 Elements in Water by Inductively Coupled Plasma-mass Spectrometry

Abstract

To establish an analytical method for determining 16 metals in drinking water. Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was applied to determine 16 metals concluding K、Na、Ca、Mg、Fe、Mn、Cu、Zn、Cr、Pb、Cd、Ba、Mo、Ni、Al、As in drinking water by using Sc,Ge,In,Bi as an internal standard,carried on checking determine limit, line scope, precision and recovery of spiked sample to learn the research .The experimental results showed the linear correlative coefficient for all elements were higher than 0.999.Precision was fine,RSD was lower than 5.0% and recoveries of spiked samples were in range of 87.6~119.0%. And the results showed close agreement with the reference values in three standard reference materials of GSBZ5009-88, GSB07-1375-2001, and GSBZ50019-90. It indicated that the method was simple,rapid,sensitive and accurate,which could meet the demand for 16 elements analysis in drinking water at the same time.
