Surgical treatment of traumatic lens dislocation.

Abstract
Objective To study the principle of surgical treament of traumatic lens dislocation.Methods Fifty-three cases of traumatic lens dislocation from 1998 to 2002 were studied.Different surgical methods were used depending on the position of dislocated lens and its complication.Results All lens were successfully removed, 58.5% eyes got vision improvement in different degree.In the case with secondry glaucoma,intraocular pressure was controlled.Also retina was reattached in the cases combined with retinal detachment.Conclusion Surgical treatment of patients with traumatic lens dislocation should depend on the position of the dislocated lens with or without complication,and combined surgery is better for complicated one.
