FEATURES OF THE TONGLINGPO COPPER ORE DEPOSIT AND ANALYSIS OF ITS ORE-PROSPECTING POTENTIAL IN SHITAI COUNTY, ANHUI PROVINCE

Abstract

Based on analysis of geological setting,mineralization,alteration features and geochemical anomaly,it is suggested that the known Tonglingpo copper ore deposit is insufficient to cause the geochemical anomaly.Anomalous features indicated near-surface erosion of the ore body and more ore potential in the area.Three major directions are pointed out for ore prospecting.
